Shiedha (pronounced Shy-e-dah) Williams Burbage is a dynamic leader, accomplished entrepreneur, and influential speaker whose intuitive ability to anticipate client needs creates transformative experiences in every collaboration. As both a highly sought-after DC makeup artist and seasoned human resources executive, she embodies the art of pursuing passion while building a meaningful career.
Her journey began at Hampton University, where she first discovered her talent for makeup artistry while taking clients in her freshman dormitory. Despite the challenges of the Great Recession limiting initial entrepreneurial opportunities, Shiedha's early career with international cosmetics brands provided invaluable experience in professional makeup artistry, client service, and working with diverse skin tones.
This foundation led to the launch of Hellooo Gorgeous in 2012, a luxury makeup company specializing in bridal and special occasions. Under her leadership, the company has garnered recognition from several prestigious media outlets, including VOGUE, Washingtonian Weddings, BRIDE magazine, ESSENCE, Oprah's "O" Magazine, Munaluchi Bride, The Grio, The New York Times, and The Washington Post. Her expertise earned her a spotlight as a beauty expert on ABC affiliate WJLA in 2017.
Parallel to her beauty enterprise, Shiedha built a successful career in Human Resources, specializing in Technology, Government Contracting, and Government Affairs industries. Inspired by her grandfather's wisdom to pursue all her talents, she has masterfully balanced both careers. Shiedha most recently joined NBCUniversal's makeup department as Key Makeup Artist for Symone Sanders Townsend on MSNBC. Her artistry has graced Good Morning America, BET, OWN, and BRAVO, serving historically elected officials, musicians, actors, and notable celebrities visiting Washington, D.C.
